Spay/neuter certificates are available to members of the general public experiencing financial need. We ask that pet owners in need, schedule an appointment with their vet. Once that appointment has been scheduled, come to the shelter and a certificate of need will be issued. Present the certificate to your vet and he or she will discount your total spay/neuter cost by the certificate amount. Since we are unable to give discounts to everyone, we ask that only those who are truly in need participate in this program. Thank you for spaying/neutering your pet!

Animal Ark maintains an agreement with our local animal control/impound center for Hastings & Rosemount to accept stray dogs and cats that have not been reclaimed by their families. In addition, we accept sick and injured strays from within our immediate area who are in need of medical care. This collaborative relationship created the first No Kill community in Minnesota.
We also work with owners facing difficult situations to find rescue for their pets through Animal Ark; owner-surrendered animals are accepted from across the state of Minnesota and parts of western Wisconsin.
